 Overview Biomedical engineering is a discipline that integrates engineering, biology, and medicine for the purpose of improving human health. Progress in experimental methods has been accompanied by growth of computational approaches that together poise this field for gaining a more quantitative and integrative understanding of the human body and disease. Faculty and students from throughout the UCLA campus to engage in collaborative research dedicated to this purpose, and this integration provides unique opportunities for the application of science and technology to the problems of healthcare and biology. |
